I seem to be wrestling with a redirect loop issue at GoDaddy, after repeated attempts to perform a root install, all while using their PreviewDNS.

Now, I know most of you will tell me that my first problem is that I'm using GoDaddy. I'll agree, but for the time being, I'm stuck with what we're using.

My root install attempts have been successful in the past, simply by using their installer, copying the entire contents of the Vdir up to the root, and browsing to the site.....viola!

Not this time. Tried a number of methods on this IIS6 install, finally got it to work (6th time the charm??).

Now, after succeeding and removing a series of modules from the front page, I'm stuck in a redirect loop.

Could this be caused by the PreviewDNS? I've noticed that when module modifications occurr, DNN attempts to redirect to mysite.com, when the actual DNS should be resolving to mysite.com.previewdns.com, which I've added to the PortalAlias table.

Any suggestions? My next step is to actually point a proper A record to this site and try again.

TIA!

This is my stupidity....

The CMS was doing it's job, and redirecting to mydomain.com, and failing, since DNS is pointing to mydomain.com.previewdns.com.

Ugh.
