Hello, I have been issues with creating a skin that has one difference from the main skin but I keep getting errors when I install it. So, I duplicated the working skin and now get this error: Unhandled error loading module.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Cannot locate ContentPane for Skin

any ideas? any and all help appreciated!

Juliedc,

From the looks of it the one piece that is missing is the most important one - the content pane. You should always have an element that is id="ContentPane" and runat="server" so that it can be treated as a proper DotNetNuke skin.

For example:

<div id="ContentPane" runat="server"></div>

Apparently that worked. I've had a host of errors no matter what I try and the original code without the ContentPane div id was working but I did this and it worked. Kinda spooky that it was working without this but only on one page. Couldn't get it to work on another page. Thanks, Ian!

Glad to hear it worked! I'm surprised, though, that it was ever working without the ContentPane specified. There may be some loopholes but my understanding was that is a hard and fast requirement for every skin.
