Thank you very much Sebastian, I looked over all thirteen pages of the postings about modifying the search radio buttons. The problem I'm having is not that i'm unhappy with having them there but they are not aligned correctly. My biggest question is which file controls there position in the skin. Is that the css file in the skin folder or a default.css file somewhere in the admin folder.

I guess my biggest headache is not that I can't get my head around the coding or making the changes. It's that I am totally new to skins, css, and the such. As a result of this I am alittle over whelmed in the spider web of interconnected files and how they relate to each other. I have looked for guides on how much of a DNN site's appearance is pulled from default files and how much is pulled from skin files, but have been unsuccessful.

I would really like to be able to keep the feature on my site, but if I can't locate the file it's positioning actually spools from I may have to just disable it as it is a very obvious misalignment.

Now to my actual question which file serves up the postioning of those radio buttons and their accompanying text.

Thanks

Richard

it depends on the available space provided in your Skin. I suggest to use a developer toolbar (firebug for FF or press F12 in IE8), to display the block elements and table cells and investigate rendered HTML.

The same way Sebastian wrote about in his 2nd reply. Only change in DNN 5.x is the file's location. In 5.x it's: <Website>/DesktopModules/Admin/Authentication/Login.ascx.

Also the exact position, where you need to put visible="false" in the file, can differ from the position Sebastian mentioned. Therefore, a more general instruction: find the <td>-instance with ID "tdPassword" and -IN- that tag, meaning somewhere between "<td" and ">", put visible="false" (attribute).

Alternatively (barely though) you can put that same attribute in the <asp:Linkbutton>-tag, that's right behind the <td>-tag I just mentioned. The <asp:Linkbutton> with id "cmdPassword".
