I think this is what I'm looking for: portal wide settings for my module. 

I'm now looking for a code example of how to read/set Portal settings.

you need to download (and install, following installation instructions) FCKEditor provider source code package.

I'm not having good luck here. I am unable to find a table in the db called "PoralSettings". 

I searched the object browser in visual studio 05 for "PoralSettings" and did find a class and a method called "GetPortalSettings" but these settings seem to get me the setting values that are set from the "Admin>Site Settings" screen. 

I also downloaded and looked through the fck provider code. I see code where it stores things in this property called config, but it is just stored in the view_state. 

Help a brotha out! :-o

sorry, had a typo, there is no portalSettings table, please use HostSettingstable and a key containing PortalID, e.g. "#myModule#mySetting#1"
