I am looking for a menu system that works like the one on this site: http://www.ledc.com/forsiteselectors/ .  It is so simple, requires no scripting and looks elegant.  When you click on a main menu link, the submenu links open under the link that you clicked on.  The dotnetnuke.com site uses a similar concept with the submenus, but they are not nested with the main menu item.

Years ago when I was an asp programmer, I made a very basic CMS that had this menu system.  I moved to DNN for all my customers now and they still miss how that old menu worked.

Treeview.  Pretty sure the DNN one would do this, or almost any treeview control.  Telerik's probably does this as well.

HouseMenu is also an option - can easily the same.  I think on DNN Creative they have a (free) sample skin setup just like this.

I think treeview is a client side tool which means it would be a bigger page-load.  The menu that I would like would be server side so that all that is deliverd to the browser is the links and some minor layout elements.  You do not see the submenu of a mainmenu item unless the mainmenu page is open.  All submenu pages remain visible when any submenu page is visited.  When you go to another mainmenu, the submenu of the previous mainmenu will not be displayed.

I followed the HouseMenu tutorial on DNNCreative a few years ago, but it was not what I was after either.  I will look at it again though.
