what about the localization files that i have added to my project

  • If you installed existing language packs look for upgrades from the translators. If not available, you may update it yourself by using the resource verifier and language editor in Host Menu (system mode)
  • if you created your own translations of files using the language editor, the resources will be stored in separate files and not be overwritten
  • same applies for any customizations of default or language pack resource files, if done in Admin :: Languages or Host :: Languages using Host Mode.
  • if you modified files "inline" you will need to merge manually - poor boy ...

Do you use server side or 3rd party compression or URL rewriter?

Did you try to restart application pool?
