Hi,

I have recently changed the registration model on a site from public to verified.  Upon doing so, we are unable to get the email with the verification code.  This is on a 4.5.3 installation of dotnetnuke, and I have verified the smtp is working.  I have also checked my mailserver/spam filter logs and am not finding the message anywhere.  I have been through the event log fot this portal and have found nothing that gives me any idea where to look to resolve this.  I am assuming the transition from public to verified authentication is as simple as changing to verified and pressing update.  Is that correct?  Can some one give me some ideas of how to debug this?

Any help woudl be appreciated!

Did you check the email address for the administrator user?  I believe this is the email address that is used to send out the verifications.

AFAIR there had been some versions with issues sending system messages. I suggest, especially for security reasons, to upgrade to DNN 4.9.3 first.

Email Address apears to be correct.  If I run a SMTP test I recieve the test email.

If the test email goes to an address that is in the domain of the website, you won't catch problems with the server not relaying.  Try using the Newsletter module to send a message to a single address that is not is your domain to verify that works, too.
