I've got a module that I want to add RSS capability to.  I understand that the module core RSS runs off of the ISearchable implementation.  BUT - my module is viewable by various criteria -- such as Category, State, etc.

So how would I go about creating a custom rss feed that has criteria set by users.  I thought about creating an RSS.ascx file that would grab the querystring variables out of the url - like a regular module load functionality - but how can I eliminate all of the other dnn loading that goes on (such as skin and such)?

Example feed url: http://www.mywebsite.com/desktopmodules/mymodule/rss.aspx?catid=4&portalid=1&country=us&state=ca

Or - sudden thought - is this best suited as an asmx?

I am curious to know the best way to implement custom RSS too.

Just a thought - I expose poker Widgets on PokerDIY and made a new skin with absolutely nothing on it that just displays the module. MobiNuke uses an HTTP handler for mobile requests to route it to a scaled down defaultmobi.aspx page.

Rodney - I just noticed last night that Scott McCulloch (Ventrian) - does something in his Simple Image Gallery - (or maybe news articles) -- looks like he created an .aspx page.  I'll check out what he did to get an idea and let you know what I come to for a basic approach.
