Hi friends.  I've been using the blog module for about a year now.  Just recently a friend and customer alerted me that some entries were now inaccessible--almost.

The problem arose from bad assumptions on my part.  1) We post two stories a week from our local newspaper. 2) The original setting for the page was to show 6 entries, this week's and those of the previous 2 weeks.  3) I assumed that clicking on the calendar dashboard control would bring up entries from the date clicked.  My friend reported that, as the end of the month approached, earlier entries would vanish from the main module.  Clicking on the calendar date did not bring up that date directly; the effect was the same as clicking on the month--entries from that month with the most recent visible.  He also said that there was no "previous entries" link that would allow him to see the previous 6 entries.  Fortunately, he was able to search on names he knew were in the entries and was able to find them that way.  Browsing, though, was out.

My fix was to change the setting to 10 entries, but that seems like a wimpy solution.  Is there a "previous/next" feature I don't know about?  If there isn't, shouldn't one be added?

Hi Ken,

this happens because the maximum recent entries limit applies also when browsing entries from earlier months. To avoid this, last week I upgraded the source code to use pagination instead, so that all the entries will be immediately available from the main screen. The code will need some testing, but we are confident that it could be merged into the next release.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
