I'm pretty new to all of this. Currently I have a successful DNN 04.09.00 with a MSSQL 2008 db running. Everything is working great. However, I want to add two additional sites.

My question is
1. Should I create two new portals from my existing DNN 04.09.00 install using the same MSSQL 2008 database. (How hard would this be to accomplish)?
2. Create two new portals from my existing DNN 04.09.00 install but, using separate data bases. (How hard would this be to accomplish)?
3. Or two new sites with their own databases.

Any guidance would be great.

THANKS!

Easiest is option 1., simply add the domain addresses as host headers in IIS web site configuration and in Host Portals create new parent portals. Portals will share resources and each user name can only be used once.

Option 2 is not supported

Option 3 is preferable, if all sites shall be totally separate and indivdually backed up/restored or moved to a different server.

Thanks for the help Sebastian! Option 3 is the one I'm going with.
