About a year ago it seems, I and all of my users were suddenly required to login twice before it would keep us logged in.  This is true for both Firefox and IE.  Both seem to have all sorts of trouble with the session in general.  I was running an older 3.x version and thought it might just be old.  This weekend I upgraded to the latest 4.9.3 and the problem persists.

Any suggestions on what I might have done to cause this, or what I might change to fix this?

I did some more investigating.  The 2x login problem was being caused by a static URL on the front page instead of a relative url.  People were going to mysite.com and the url was hard coded to http://www.mysite.com/mypage.ascx.  Since the base url changed from mysite.com to www.mysite.com DNN asked them to reauthenticate.

In the process of investigating the login problem we discovered that the "Remember Me" functionality doesn't work.  A user can login, mess around for a while, exit there browser and come back into the website as long as they are under the session timeout value.  If they exceed that value, such as two sessions on subsquent days, then they are not "Remembered".  This is true with both IE and Firefox.

Is there a setting I need to change to get "Remember Me" to work?

Edit:  I found Sebastien's post and article on using the Persistent Cookies.  Thanks Sebastien!

Thanks,

Craig
