Hi,

well found the issue why my starter kit failed to install recently with my VS 2005. It previously installed, then would fail to install there after.

I have multiple installations of VC 6, VS2003 and VS 2005 on my system. -- but they weren't installed in that order.

Vs2003 then VS 2005, installed DNN and starter kit, things working well. then needed to update an old project so I installed VC 6, thats when ever i attempted to install a starter kit it would fail. (yes, even starter kits from microsoft).

so. long story short, install older development kits first then your newest, otherwise registry settings will point to the last installed development package as your default

HTH

Johnny
