I have several portals hosted in a very experienced hosting company in DNN.
This is the good side.
The bad side is that the company and the servers are located in USA and all of our portals belongs and are targeted to Europe (Portugal), which is awful in terms of speed.

Recently I tried an European hosting company. The speed is fantastic and the other great advantage is the same time zone.

Problem?
The Title Tag doesn't appears on the pages of my child portals.

Example:
Main domain: myname.com
Child portal: my-site.com

To see the correct Title Tag on “my-site.com”, the visible URL is something like this:
http://www.myname.com/Page/tabid/1174/Default.aspx

To see the correct domain (my-site.com) the visible URL is always the same no matter the pages (http://www.my-site.com). And the worst is that the title of the pages is always "my-site.com" instead of the Title Tag.

The hosting say that this happens because to appear the correct domain they have to enable a transparent forwarding.

I think this happens because they have no experience with DNN.

Anybody have a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Carlos

Carlos,

There is no need for transparent forwarding, please make sure not to use child portals but parent portals only with domains correctly assigned as portal alias. Next, ask your hosting provider to assign both domain names as host headers to your IIS web site, DNN will take care to point them to the correct portal.
