I'm putting together a skin that has a vertical-oriented menu next to a flash image rotator. The problem is that in FF3, IE7 and other older browsers the menu displays fine. However in IE8, the menu is persisting when it appears over the flash element. Has anyone else ran into this and if so, what did you determine was causing it?

There appears to be an issue without flash as well with IE8 try, try this site for instance- the issue is already logged in support.dotnetnuke.com for the navmenu/web controls.

For the moment I recommend putting a meta tag in to force IE8 to go into IE7 compatibility mode (search the forums or google on how to do this).

The Meta tag worked, very frustrating IE8 bug imho. Thanks for the tip!
