I uploaded skins from the DNNSLIM skin pack to my intranet site.  I then set my host and portal site to an instant of that skin.  When I updated - I got an error message.  I then discovered that I cannot access any page except the home page (whether logged in or not) without getting the following error message:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I am at a loss as to how to handle this as I cannot access any of the administration pages either (get the same error).  Can someone PUH-LEEZE help!

Did you download the DNNSlim from XD? If so, That is a CONTAINER, not a skin.

To rectify this you need to locate any thing that IS  a skin, and rename to the name of the container and FTP to that folder and overwrite it.

Then log in and change it.

CONTAINER AND SKINS cannot be transversed.
