Hello all,

I have a website that the root is: domain.com

Now I have installed dnn on a folder like so: /dnn

I also bought a domain for that new istallation like so: dnn.com

My problem is that when I installed it I did not have the domain so my default alias is: domain.com/dnn

Now I configured my shared hosting to map dnn.com to domain.com/dnn so when I write dnn.com I get domain.com/dnn on my address bar. Now this is troublesome because my client doesn't need to see a diferent domain on the address bar.

I tried changing the default alias on the SQL table but when I did. I got a redirect loop.

I there something that I'm missing.

thanks for your help.

I worked around it for now.... but if someone has a better solution, here is what I came up.

I mapped the second domain to the root and on the pageload I used a javascript to detect the hostname and redirect to the correct page.

I also modified the alias of the second domain to seconddomain/dnn

and that's it for now.
