One of my sites I have been running DNN since an early build version 3.
It has been ugraded along the way and is currently running version 4.9.1.
Resently I attempted to compile the code on a test server, but I ran into several problems.

I found several files that are no longer used and I was able to remove them and get passed all the errors except one.

Name 'cmdRegister' is not declared.    C:\dnn\admin\Skins\User.ascx.vb    86

Of cource in Visual Studio it is correctly linked and I get intelesence and everything looks good.
So, I guess there is a DLL that is out of date or something.

Can anyone help me figure out what this could be?

first, you shoould upgrade to DNn 4.9.3 for some security (and other) issues fiixed

second, I assume, there is still some orphaned code in your installation. I would remove all .vb files except from desktopmodules and providers subdirectories and re-unzip source package.
