I just tried to use the media module and added a simple MP3 file. While in FF the embedded Windows Media Player is not working at all (it looks like an old Media Player, not the new one with the aqua style buttons) and just displayed everything in grey and disabled, in IE (new Media Player) it is playing but I do not hear any sound (although sound is on, I can hear mouse clicks etc.)

This is a known bug in the media module which is fixed in the next release.
