Sometimes, customers loves ".html" extension for SEO.(I'm not sure about extension influences SEO or not)

Does anyone know the way to change the extention of DNN to .html?

I tried following.

  • change default.aspx to default.html
  • add httphandler to web.config
  • add application mapping in application config(IIS settings)

however, DNN seems to use only "Default.aspx".

Regards,
Masami

Have a look at the http://www.inventua.com href exchanger.

You can modify the IIS instance and setup .html if you wish, in fact you'll see that's how they have their site running.

It's something you download, and something you modify in your web.config as well. To get the html extension to show, you'll need to have access to your IIS configuration, which you will need to consider when you are looking at hosting.
