In ASP.NET an application and a virtual directory are not either/or options.  All ASP.NET applications must be in an application root.  That root can be a physical or virtual directory.

What?  This has nothing to do with rather I want to use the source, VS or anything else.  I'm walking through every inch of DNN to get to know what I have, and when I explore a feature it should work, not give me an error!  So when I post this error, I expect a solution to fix it even it I never use it!

If you don't have the solution to this post don't reply!  I'm waiting for a DNN Admin or someone who's DNN in and out.  Does the documentation have this error message and the solution?  No it doesn't!

And Please, don't respond back to my post and make this into jousting Match!
