Hello there!

I am using dotnetnuke 4.03 and i am trying to upgrade to4.08 version. The problem is that errors are keep popping up and does not do any upgrade. The error that comes up is the following:

 Server Error in '/[name] Application

Configuration Error

Description: An error occurred during theprocessing of a configuration file required to service thid request. Please review the specific error detailsbelow and modify your configuration file approprietly.

Parser Error Message: The entry 'UrlRewrite' has already been added

 

Anyone know whats happening ? thanks a lot for your time in advance

Did you overwrite your web.config with the package you extracted for the upgrade? Make sure the web.config is up to date and try again.

No i didnt....I extracted the upgrade package and then i overwrote the upgrade's web.config with the site's....Well its supposed to work cos i did everything fine (i guess). And by the way i tried to return the site to the previous version and now is not working..... A compilation error came up.....:(

I would suggest first trying to get the 4.3 site back up and running. If need be, move the backup to a new directory and start from there. Once you get the 4.3 site running, then you can try upgrading it again.

Ok i got the 4.3 site back up and running. I tried to upgrade again and the same error came up. Is there a change the upgrade files to be faulty? It's really weird that the upgrade is not working.....I will move back the 4.3 again and try to upgrade to 4.9 to see.....
