This need to be investigated more ....what are the arguments for DNN not being good enough for e-commerce? Poor graphics, poor speed or just poor architecture of e-commerce modules?

I know that Tom Kraak at Seablick Consulting has setup some, but I don't have specific URL's to share.  You might reach out to him http://www.seablick.com

man.....you'd think after how long DNN has been out.....that there'd be plenty of ecommerce sites running and selling stuff. i've been researching this and the only things i've seen so far are not just negative but very negative.

"dnn and ecommerce are a match made in hell" - one quote i saw

i am wanting to rewrite a php/mysql site that uses oscommerce but now i'm re-thinking that decision

I would like to use Catalook. After checking it out quickly, I noticed it was not easy to set up. The demo stores from their site look crude.

It seems you can use templates with Catalook but the demo stores on their site look crude so I was wondering if their template system is not very cutomizable. I was thinking of getting a good store template and have Catalook work like it.  A template from here example:

http://www.templateworld.com/all_oscommerce_templates_1.html.

I guess I should be asking this in their forums but I wanted to try here also.
