We need to upgrade out SQL Server 2000 that is supporting our DNN production environment. Before purchasing SQL 2008, we wanted to make sure that it is fully supported by DNN.  Is this correct?

I would think the upgrade would be pretty straight forward. However, does anyone have any tricks, traps or suggestions on performing the upgrade from 2000 to 2008 that I should be aware of? I would like to make sure it goes as smooth as possible.

DNN runs fine on SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, allversions except compact and embedded.

Upgrade shall be straight forward, but as always, start with a full backup!
