I can't find very much on how to show the curent week's events and the 5 latest blog titles on the home page both based off of modules on other pages.  I can duplicate the events module but want to show list view on the homepage and month view on the other page.  Anyone?!?!

Hello, I am not sure if all versions of events work the same, but in settings there is an option to allow the information to be passed to another events module, so you will need to set that option up first, then create a new events module on your desktop and select to receive the information from the one you have just allowed to export, this would allow the 2 views required.

For your last 5 latest blog titles, you could throw your XML into feedburner and from from that grab a feed with you latest 5 posts to place on your desktop, you would need to create a text module, in that place a table then paste the script from feedburner into that table, there may be better ways of doing this with other existing modules.

Cheers

The request for a "latest blog entries" list seems to pop up fairly often so I blogged one easy (and free) solution here:

Quickly create a "latest blogs" list with the REPORTS module
