Ah well i dont like spans you cant put any elements like div etc in them invalid html , but just in case you want to try it out here you will find a template for ows that you can import ( just copy and paste the contents of the txtarea )

This ows tempalte queries the links table ( if you ahve more modules you need to modify the query for the correct moduleid )  and outputs the content the way you mentioned in start of this thread.

I use OWS for this all the time reformat the content of standard dnn modules
