Check page settings and setting for each module to see if you have granted "edit" permissions on anything to either "all users" or "unauthenticated users"

Hi

Thanks Gerholdt, I was able to solve it... and I would like to guide the steps for people who are experiencing the same problem..

First Login As Admin Or Host

Goto: Admin [menu]>>Site Settings>>Advanced Settings>>[expand]Usability Settings.....

Then Change all 3 radio buttons to first 3 options..

Thanks

Ahamed

Hi, Ahamed,

I wonder if it is only the last of these three settings that affects whether the control panel appears. Perhaps you could test by putting Mode and Visibility back to "Edit" and "Maximized" respectively, and leaving Security set at "Page Editors."

If this is correct, then it is also probably the case that one of the modules on the page grants "edit" privileges either to "all users" or "unauthenticated users" or both via one of the exposed edit controls.

This may be by design based on how a particular module functions - some modules do leverage controls that DNN considers "edit" controls for non-administrative end-user interaction. (I have mixed feelings about that practice; it leverages convenient functionality but injects some complexity which I believe you may be experiencing here.) When a module uses an edit function for the end user, and the Control Panel Security setting you reference is set to "Module Editors" then (I believe) the control panel will appear. If undesirable, this is when you can override in the Admin area.

However, it may also be an accidental security setting on one of the modules on the page. I'd be interested to hear back if you review this.
