Hi,

I have installed the Blog module (05.03.01) and created a blog called "My test blog". This blog contain 1 entry, but by pressing "View all recent entries" or "My test blog" on the module "Blog_List" i get the message "No entries were posted for this blog".

The only way to reach the post is by pressing "May, 2009" in the "Blog_Archive" module. Why is that?
How can I get the entries to show by pressing the other buttons? Is this a setting I have missed?

Thanks,

Hi Micke,

my understanding is that you are experiencing a timezone issue. Double check your server/DNN/blog timezone settings and see if the error persists. We had been also reported about timezone issues with countries that adopt DST (daylight save time). In this case adjust the blog timezone to one hour earlier or one later to fix the time mismatch. Let me know if you need further help.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi,

The selected time zone on "My test blog" -> Settings -> Time zone was "UTC+1". I have tried UTC, UTC+2 and UTC-1 with the same result, "No entries were found". At the moment I'm on Malta, which is the same as GMT+2 (Centeral European Summer Time).

Our site uses GMT as default time.

More suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi again Dario

I had a look at Host Settings and DNN's timezone seems to be the same as mine (CEST (GMT+2 DST)). However, I changed the Blog Time Zone to UTC-2 and the posts finally appeared!

How does this affect the "By [NAME] on [DATETIME]" above each post?
Is there an update/another way around this?

Thanks!

Hi Micke,

the blog's timezone is used by the module to display the correct entry time for blogs that are managed by users with different timezones but displayed on the same page. In the mwanwhile we address the DST issue, the best way to correct the problem is altering the blog's timezone so that entry time matches the real time.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
