Hi, me and some friends are engage on a project of a web site using
DNN, and some functionallity of the DNN Official web site taked our
attention because its exactilly one thing that we truly needing to implement on our
site. One of this is the vertical menu on the left side of the page
"http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/825/default.aspx", that we want to
know if it is a module that already exist on the DNN or if u guys
created especifically to the web site, and the order thing is the
central news panel that its pretty cool too. We want to know if both modules just
already exist inside the DNN, whats the name of this objects and if u
guys make some different XML
configuration to make than appear like in your site. Thanks a ton!! =)

The sidebar navigation is built into the skin. If you can find the old skins that came with DNN 4.8, they came with your choice of a vertical navigation bar or a horizontal nav bar. When I need both, I use the "Links" module, but I don't believe it automatically updates when pages are added or deleted.

The news can be done using either a blog module or a News Feed module (which reads RSS feeds). I also use the Announcements module a lot for news since you basically just type a Title then the content. All three are included in the default DNN installation.
