[I'm not sure if this is the right forum, please advise if not]

I'd like to have a page where the user enters their email address and either (a) a specific file download starts automatically, or (b) a Download button is enabled, allowing them to download a file.  That is, I don't want them to be able to download the file until they enter the email address.

Does anyone know if there's an easy way to do this with an existing module, without doing any javascript coding?

out of the box you can hide the download for unauthorized users (and place an accoding help text using Text/HTML module visible  to unauthorized users only) by using UserDefinedTable, using a hidden column for the download link and display hidden columns to registered users only.
