there seems to be  an issue in locales.xml or locales.[portalid].xml, residing inside /app_gglobalresources.

did you change anything with languages lately?

No, not lately. I've changed the language stuff couple of months ago.

I really suspect it is an issue with our host (net. solutions) but I can FTP my site and I can login with my local SQL SERVER Express.

Thanks for the post though.
D.

I have a client that just reported the same error to me.  They are also being hosted at Network Solutions.  Any Ideas on how to fix, work around the issue.  they have not installed any Language Localization packages.

Site is still not working.  Called Network Solutions yesterday and they had a recording saying they were experiencing server issues.  No message today but site still not working.  Same Error.  Called and talked to tech support and they are escalating the issue to their top level to "fix".

Anybody know if I am barking up the wrong tree???  I am contemplating running the install of DNN to get to the newest version.  I think the version I am currently running is 4.8.4
