I have upgraded my site from 4.8.4 to 4.9.4, and everything appeared to be working ok apart from what appeared to be a couple of minor database errors.

So I ran the following SQL Providers to remedy the issue;

  1. 04.09.00.SqlDataProvider - no errors, DNN still working
  2. 04.09.01.SqlDataProvider - minor errors, as listed below, now DNN is not working

Now DNN is not working and giving a "Runtime Error". Can someone advise how to recover from this, or where i can get support to fix it?

Thanks

If you have access to the database, open the table Version.  You should have a record Major/Minor/Build/CreateDate/Name for each version of DNN.  Starting with DNN version 4.9.1, there should be a record

Major = 4

Minor = 9

Build = 1

CreateDate = date DNN was installed

Name = DNNCORP.CE

I think the install script had problem and the version table may not have the correct version.  You might have to manually add records to this table.  This is just a wild guess.

you might need to rerun subsequent sqldataprovier script as well to get proper database structure.

make sure to review the associated text files with issues from original upgrade run.
