Hi,

I have never seen LinkActions before in a container and I'm trying to work out how they are supposed to work. It seems as though they do not get shown for normal users (with Edit rights) whereas the ModuleActions (actionbutton) are.Can anyone confirm this please?

When I view the module as an Admin I can see both sets of container actions.

My Test container looks like this:

<div class="pokerdiy-common">
    <div id="ContentPane" runat="server" class="pokerdiy-content clearfloats" />
    <div class="pokerdiy-ab">
        <dnn:actionbutton runat="server" id="dnnAdd" commandname="AddContent.Action" displayicon="True" displaylink="True" />
        <dnn:actionbutton runat="server" id="dnnModuleSettings" commandname="ModuleSettings.Action" displayicon="True" displaylink="True" />
           TESTING 1
<dnn:LinkActions runat="server" id="dnnLinkActions"
StartHTML ="<hr>"
EndHTML ="<hr>"
ItemSeparator=" | " />     TESTING 2
    </div>
    <div class="pokerdiy-bottom-left"><div class="pokerdiy-bottom-right"></div></div>
</div>

But nothing is outputted between TESTING 1 and 2 unless you are an admin (but the first action is, so it is not an Edit Rights issue).

Has anyone used the LinkActions container object  on a live site?

In DNN5.1, they seem to work just as coded...

<dnn:LinkActions runat="server" id="dnnLinkActions" ItemSeparator=" | " />

This bit of code will write out text actions links for any actions configured on the module that container is applied too. It checks the permissions on the action in question and will only show the action if the user has permissions. It adds a separator inbetween each action. There isn't any StartHTML and EndHTML properties I could find in the skin object...

Thanks Oliver - have you seen it actually work? In my example above I have LinkActions and ModuleActions side-by-side and only the Module Actions emit an action link for Registered Users (with Edit Rights).

As far as I can tell the control does not work - I just need to know one person who uses it live?
