We’re happy to announce the release of our updated Page Protection module. Page Protection is a complete solution for protecting your copyrighted content. It has multi layer of protections:

  • Disable Right Click
  • Disable Text Selection
  • Source Code Obfuscation (New Feature)

Disable Right Click
Visitors can easily save pictures and other content from your site by simply right clicking and choosing “Save”. This can be easily avoided by disabling the right click function on your site. You can use the module to disable right click on images only or entire page. You can also configure the module to show a custom message to visitor when the right click is pressed.

Disable Text Selection
If right click is disabled on the site, the next visitors tend to do is select the content they want to copy and hit ctrl-c or other equivalent to copy the content. Page Protection module allows you to disable text selection (highlighting) so the user cannot easily copy the content. You have the flexibility to disable highlighting on entire page or within a specific area.

Source Code Obfuscation
Usually if both text selection and right click is disabled then next approach to copy content is to view source. Unfortunately, there is no way to hide or conceal the source code from end user. However, Page Protection offers another layer of protection by obfuscating the source code. When enabled, the user would see a blank file instead of the source file. This is achieved by adding blank space before the actual source code in tricking the user there is no source code.
You can also configure the module to show a custom message when someone’s views the source code. This can be a copyright notice or other warning threatening legal action. This message can be further customized to show the visitor’s IP Address to make it more authentic  and real.

Sorry but totally useless module Anyone who wants to take your content can do by simple disabling javascript and you can access everything, so that will get you all textual content and images as well and if that wont work there is always a print screen or screengrab program to get the images

and maybe the original author should be able to provide proper HTML, not to scramble up the page layout. Thank you.
