Hey Everyone,

I'm interested in using the  WebControls v 2.0.337 DNNMenu control for my navigation. I can't really find any straight forward documentation on how to implement it on my website. I've placed the control on the page but nothing is being populated. I'm assuming there needs to be some sort of code in the code-behind to manually populate it but I have no idea on how to do that or where to find out how to do that. I found the tutorial on adefwebserver.com/dotnetnukehelp on the older version, but that only shows how to import a couple manually created instances not the entire website structure. I'm very partial to UL listed navigation menus and I'm finding that the NAV control that is included with DNN5.0.1 doesn't display using UL's. Even when the RenderMode is set to 'Unordered List.' Any instructions or code samples would be very helpful. Thanks!

Got it working....I think. It is displaying how I want it to.

Now I have another question/problem. I'm running DNN 5.0.1 and after I got the menu working properly I've noticed that when the page is loading the menu appears on the left side of the window without any styling at all other than removing all of the ul features (style-type, margins, padding etc...) and after a second or so it picks up on the styling features and displays correctly. this is obviously on the client side of things but I can't think of what could be causing it. Can anyone provide any input or help on the matter?

Anyone run into anything similar?

 yeah man!

im having the same issue.. well mroe of a precursor issue

1) How do i place a menu... that i want to use for the actual site navigation ( Serivces, About, Prices, contact etc..)
2) what tags are used to populate it and are these tags defined in the XML
3) How do i place the navigation on the site... is it [NAV] [NAVIGATION] or is that token only used for the admin interface of DNN?
