I update the source settings of an IFrame directly on the database via an application. However on refresh, the page that contains the IFrame module still display the old values. Is there something else I need to do?  If I use the Edit Iframe options, it works correctly.

For specifics, what I did was update the modulesettings table for 'src' SettingName with a settingValue of a different fileID. The fileID points to the latest file that got uploaded on the server.

IFrame module uses it's own tables. Why are you setting it via DB directly, anyway?

I'm aware that IFrame uses it's own tables and I've examined every one as it relates to Iframe settings and the particular modules that uses the different iframes.

I automate creation of links on the left pane whenever a new item(document, articles, email) arrives and display the contents in the IFrame (ContentPane) whenever the link is clicked. However, I also want to display the document pointed by the latest link on the ContentPane, hence the direct update of the db. Direct update is necessary for self-maintenance, why should we be using the Edit Options (that's only good for manual updates).  If you can point me to how the tables correlate as it pertains to this process I'll very much appreciate it.

Sorry, read a bit too fast :)

I suspect that you are having issues due to caching. Try setting that to 0.

Also, when saving to DB, do you use UpdateModuleSettings API call? I wonder if that is a preferential step here...

I am sorry, i don't have time right now to look into the issue deeper - I will, however, on Sunday. That is unless someone knowledgeable will help us out here sooner.
