plz help me , im lost somehow ..

i'm developing a module in dnn that should contain a treeview : the treeview has four hierarical level : Year --> volume --> Issue --> Article

i've four tables database corresponding to this levels. i could get it working in normal aspx page ( outside dnn ) using normal ADO connection and dataset and relations between datatables in dataset. and then populate the treeview from the database on runtime.. to have a working treeview that represents the above hieraricy : Year --> volume --> Issue --> Article

in dnn ( as im a beginner) i got lost somehow , coz the n-tier architecture..

my exact questions :

- how i retrieve data from multiple tables in one stored procedure and how can i put this returned data in somethng like dataset to enable me populate the normal treeview from it ??

plz give examples if any , very thankfull

I want to get the returned data in a Dataset , so i can populate the treeview dynamically from the dataset.

how can i get to the data returned from the DAL and put it into dataset, and also : at which time or event , the object datasource connect and queries the database , meaning : can i retrieve such data in the page_Load event ???

this is my main problem .. appreciate ur help ...
