Hi

When I use the Australian language (English Australian) I get the following footer vlaues within a thread "PAGE [PAGENUMBER] OF [PAGECOUNT]" rather than the actual values. Interestingly in the list of threads the page numbers appear correct, it only seems to be within the thread itself.

I also get "[POSTCOUNT] POSTS" for the user in the thread.

Using Forum 4.4.3 on DNN 5.0.1

Any ideas what might be causing this and how to fix it?

Hi Robin,

looks like the Language Pack uses wrong Tokens.  Please ask the Language Pack vendor for support.  Also Forum 4.4.3 isn't  tested from the Forum team on DNN 5 yet.  DNN 5.x is still in Beta.

Hi Matthias

Thanks for the reply, I only just got back to having a look into this today. I was under the impression DNN 5 is released to the community already.

Anyway I have a new install so I decided to use DNN 5, I removed the language pack that I was using for Australian English and I installed another one from Nina Meiers, thinking she would handle the tokens better. Strange thing that is happening on my dev/test site the issue seems to be fixed or not happening, but in my production site it is still an issue.

My question, which in some ways doesn't make sense but I thought I will still ask as it might provide some insight, would the resolving of these tokens have any requirments for access to any particular file system diretories, as this is the only difference I can see between the two setups. Dev/Test is on XP and prodcution on server 2003 also. Any clues as to what could be causing this other than the language pack not handling the tokens as they seem to be in dev/test.

Thanks

On testing the new Forum Version we find out that any issues cousing on DNN 5 comming up.  This issues are related to DNN 5 Core.  The Forum Module 4.4.3 never was realy tested against DNN 5 from the project testing team.

I think new issues comming up only on DNN5 are related to the DNN core, about it sould be down compatible to DNN 4 Module versions.

DNN 5 have many breaking changes, so we can not be aware that any features could be brocken in it.

Thought that I would post what I found.

Looks like the issue is with the language packs. The packs define the tokens in capitals [PAGECOUNT] and the code is looking for [PageCount] and thus the token doesn't get replaced.

Perhaps the language packs should not change the tokens or the code should handle the capitalisation of these tokens.

I have had to edit the resource files which are located in the language pack editing within dotnetnuke.
