Hi Everybody,

I am building a new custom module and its my first little bit complicated module. Before that i was just practicing with it. Now what i did i just create a new module and instead of creating control in ViewModule.ascx i have created a new module called MyName.ascx. but when i am plugging it into dotnetnuke instance it is not giving em anything.

Is it compuslary to use View control or can we create our another control also ?

Thanks

If a control is to be visible to any users its type will be set to View.  You can then use the various NavigateUrl() methods to do the redirection to the proper display.

Keep in mind, that any control other than the default view (The one with no key) will trigger the module to enter Isolation mode, removing all other items from the page.
