This took me to the login page but after entering credentials, only took me to home page (which is not the target tabid 191)

I did find an answer that will open the login prior to the page but the following will not pass the querystring parameters to the target page.
http://www.mysite.com/tabid/191/ctl/Login/portalid/0/Default.aspx?ItemID=1&uc=info&mode=dir

How do I retain passage of parameters?

 
Very odd -- I'd double-checked my posted method on one of my sites prior to responding (the old "it worked for me" bit).
 
What version of DNN are you using?

Legacy custom modules/skin/menu precludes upgrade possibility.

This is very easy to test and fails every time.

The following url will take you through login to the desired page but loose all but the first of the parameters.

https://www.mysite.com/testPage/tabid/6986/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=/tabid/6986/Default.aspx?id=183&yarn=2312

The above will be truncated to
https://www.mysite.com/tabid/6986/Default.aspx?id=183

after login.

A few moments more of looking and I realized I should be percent encoding for the dnn returnurl handling of my string so:

https://www.mysite.com/testPage/tabid/6986/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2ftabid%2f6986%2fDefault.aspx%3fid%3d183%26jobId%3d656%26uncleId%3d451

will go through login and yield

https://www.mysite.com/tabid/6986/Default.aspx?id=183&jobId=656&uncleId=451

And it was good
