No one has done "anything funny" to the forum, but for some reason, only administrators can make a new thread. I tried to read through the manual, but I am a dumb-dumb. Any clue, guys & gals?

I thought I would find the answer on this post: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/7/threadid/177157/scope/posts/Default.aspx
but I did not upgrade my forum at all. Heck, I have NO idea how. We run an all-volunteer organization and our DNN guy has been MIA for months - just a bunch of film festival producers & graphic designers mucking around running this beautiful...platform? What's the correct terminology?

hey, guys - i missed around with it for an hour, checking and unchecking boxes and turns out, in order for registered users to post new threads, you need to check the box to allow them to "edit module". i totally thought this would mean they could move it around - but it's just for threads and comments :) Yay!

I think it is not the same isse rather then a timeout issue on a previous post.  This issue should be fixed in the upcomming version.  But still need a rework for the users with have this problem.

All Users with this problem should go to "my settings" check to all Forums in Tracking Forum and save it.  Then they have to try to submit a new thread, if it is submited they can unssubscribt all Forums in Tracking Forum in "My Settings".

Notice the Time out issue is by IIS session timeout, which is set to 20 Minutes as standard.

I am not sure on what place you are.  The Edit permissions in Module Settings should only set to Forum Admins (Forum 4.4.3).  Of cause you must have set right permissions in Forum Admin for each Forum.
