I have just migrated a site from one hosting provider to the other and everything went smoothly except Repository.

I changed the path entries in the relevant tables, and the conten ts appear on the list, but when user tries to download "A critical error has occurred.
Illegal characters in path." message apears intead of file download.

I tried uploading a new file and the same message appears.

I then tried creating a new page with the repository module on it, and this one uploads the file, but when one tries to download it the message "Can't find file xxx... " apears. What happens there is that Repository creats a separate folder for the files of the new instance (numbering them 1, 2 ... but doesn't include a new folder level in the path. So if there should have been .".. /Portals/0/Repository/2/filename.ext" it is looking for .".. /Portals/0/Repository/filename.ext".

The two problems might be unrelated, but I am not certain, since they only appeared after moving to a new ISP.

Any ideas?

you must log into your DotNetNuke site using your 'Host' account. Then go to the module settings page for your Repository module. You'll now see a new option near the bottom of the Repository Settings section where you can enter the physical path to your repository files.
