At approximately 12:15 AM PST, the site was taken down to apply build #672 for dogfooding.  For anyone who is not familiar with the practice of "dogfooding"... it is the process by which we traditionally put our own code in production before we recommend that anyone else do so.  The goal of dogfooding is typically to validate that a beta build is worthy of the designation of release candidate.  This process is used both for modules and also for the core framework.

The site was down for approximately 15 minutes, although the execution time of the upgrade itself was less than 3 minutes.  The extra time is consumed by backups, validation, app pool restart, etc.

Unfortunately, some difficulties were encountered and build #672 will not be recommended as a Release Candidate.  The build was rolled back at approximately 2:15 am PST.  The nature of the difficulties encountered are primarily related to heavy bot traffic.  Our engineers are investigating the issues.

Thank you.
