Hello,

I'm using DNN 5.0.1 with AD Provider 5.0.1.  I have a problem with several users entering their username in all lowercase.  It just plain doesn't work.

Look in the AD, I find that my username is in all lowercase ("dmeiser").  When I go out to the website and login I can login with "dmeiser" or "dMeIsEr" or "DMEISER".  When looking at other usernames that are having problems, I see that their usernames are entered like "DMeiser".  They must enter the username like "DMeiser" in order for the login to work.

Any thoughts?  Should I just update their usernames to "dmeiser"?

All I can say is that it's odd. The AD isn't going to care what case the username is in (only the password) and DNN shouldn't either (as evidenced by you being able to put whatever case you want). I'd have to try to recreate the problem to figure out what's gone sideways.

I seem to remember reporting something similar to this a year or so ago...  I'll have to go back through my posts and see if I can find it.
