bought the latest book on dot net nuke 5 but cannot see how one rolls out a skin or set of skins that cater for the standard different main page and other pages...e.g. the front page has a top menu and a large pic etc but the other pages have the same top menu along with a side menu....

This should be obvious...but I am meant to belive that the side menu must be done via the text editor and then the pages copied each time, or can you have different skins or parts thereof?

Did anyone every solve this problem?  I'm seeing the same thing on one of my old DNN 3 sites using Solpart menu.  Browsing from IE8 on XP machine, menu is hosed up - and just like previous poster spmenu.js isn't even referenced in the html source.  IE8 from a Vista box works fine.  All other browsers, works fine.  I appreciate any thoughts on the subject, I'm totally lost.  If replacing Solpart with another provider is needed - I would apprecaite some pointers on how to do that too.

You should use the NAV skin object with the DNNMenu provider, read the document referenced on the second toppost of this forum for more information

(and look at the Minimal Extropy skin comming with DNN 4.9 and 5 for an example)
