I am using DNN, recently, found that a file injection at http:/mywebsite/Portals/0/01-palyo.txt.  The content is 1923TURK-GRUP  ***  PALYO34 . It seems that it is being hack, may i know how should i prevent this?Is there any patch to deal with it ?

Which DNN version are you running? check out the Security Bulletins (News > Security Policy in menu above) wether it is a known issue for the version your are running. Make sure, latest Security Updates are installed for the server and FTP accounts are using strong passwords. If you assume, there is another security probklem with DotNetNuke, please contact security@dotnetnuke.com

I believe this is using a problem that existed in dnn 3-4.8.2 and was fixed in 4.8.3 (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/News/SecurityPolicy/SecurityBulletinno17/tabid/1162/Default.aspx for the bulletin and http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/2256/Blast-from-the-past-or-why-its-good-to-keep-up-to-date.aspx for a recent blog I made). To resolve it please upgrade to a more recent version, ideally 4.9.4

Hi,

  Thanks for the guildance. I just upgraded to the latest version 4.9.4.  But i notice that the file http:/mywebsite/Portals/0/01-palyo.txt is sill there.  When i try to find under the folder ../Portals/0/, the file 01-palyo.txt, may i know how to clean the file ?  The version i used previously is 4.8.  Much appreciate your help.
