Khor,

/portals/0/ is the user files section of the portal, which is not been touched by the upgrade. you can savely delete any files in here (except caching, skins and containers), neither you or your users didn't upload.

Hi,

I have deleted the files at the directory under /portals/0/ but amazingly when i browse the website Portals/0/01-palyo.txt, the file is still there. ( i have restarted IIS and browser).  The file 01-palyo.txt is injected by the hacker.  Can anyone suggest a way to delete it ?

Khor

DNN tracks the file system in the database as well.  If you removed the file directly from the file system, you will need to do a Recursive file sync, to have DNN remove the entry.

Hi,

When i search the file system physically, the file 01-palyo.txt is not in the directory. But when i browse it with Firefox, it can be viewed http://mywebsite/Portals/0/01-palyo.txt.  Not so sure what you mean Recursive file sync, can tell in details ?

Thanks a lot.

Khor

are you sure, the file is not present (even if hidden files are shown). This sounds very strange, you should get assistance from a server expert.
