Hi ppl

I made a simple site with dnn5 and I have used the Media module on 2 of my pages to display some photos. To be exact, I put 3 media modules on the right pane of the page. Evrt looks ok but every time I goto the page, the photos appear to be reloading after the hole page has appeared, which is very noticeable and annoying. The photos are abt 92k each.

I have to make some setting on the module, on the site? I have to use a different module?

Thank u 4 your suggestions,

Dimitris

Enter module settings of media module and set Cache duration to e.g. 1200 (s).

thank you for the reply Sebastian.

Still, I had already 600 in the cache of each media module. I changed it to 1200 but still the result seems the same. Maybe  I should use another module, let's say a text/html where i just place the photos? Or, is there a 3rd party module? Or its just how things work?

yes, try if you encounter same issue with text/HTML - in this case, I assume the browser does not use its cache and requests the images everytyme. If you want to server this case there are 2 options: either use a script, which loads the images in advance - but this will slow down display of the page - or save the images in a progressive format, which will display image with low quality quickly and increase quality and details subsequently.
