HI all,

up until today our intranet was on DNN 4.9.4 and I hadn't been able to get AD Integration working.  I saw another post with the same symptoms and that person was told to add Impersonation to their web.config file and that fixed it.  I don't really know what needs to be done there.

But anyway, I decided upgrading  to the latest version of AP (5.00.02) and DNN 5.1 to see if that would work. Bot upgrades seemed to go well, but now I can't find any way to get to the AP configuration screen.  It used to be located in Admin/Authentication but there is no such tab in my install of the new version.  Have I done something wrong or has it moved?

I think the module is installed  correctly, as when I log in, I get the option to use windows login but no accounts work there.

Any help would be great.  If you need any more information, let me know.

Cheers,
Marcus,

The settings in DNN 5 are under Admin->Extensions and then click on the pencil beside the provider.

For instructions on using impersonation....take a look at the 01.00.04 user guide on the project downloads page.

I get an error when I click the pencil. This is after what DNN reported as a successful install.

C:\dev\WebSites\DNN510Install\DesktopModules\AuthenticationServices\ActiveDirectory\Settings.ascx(15): error BC30456: 'Page' is not a member of 'ASP.desktopmodules_authenticationservices_activedirectory_settings_ascx'.

All of the other modules for authentication are working and this is a clean 5.1 install - not an upgrade.

Thank you for your time.
Thor

I'll see if I can recreate it but I haven't had that error in the past.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for such a great module and such fast responses.
I did get it working after your help (and my silly noob queastions).

I have another question that I think I'm on the right track for but not sure.  What I ideally want is for users to be logged in automatically based on their current windows login.
At the moment, when they go to the DNN portal, they are given a login screen and have to use their windows login to access the site. From what I read in the instructions, I think it's possible for them to be automatically logged in when they enter the site from a windows PC on the domain (using IE).  I've filled in the auto login IP addresses, which I think is what that is for.

Cheers,
Marcus.
