Hi everybody,
I have a question regarding the Session value collection.

Is there any possibility to clear the collection while the user is logging out?

Thanks in advance,

matze

Session variables are not used in  DNN due to missing web farm support.

AFAIK there is no option to hook into user logout event, you should always validate against user object from HTTP context.

Hi Sebastian,

thanks for your answer. I thought storing the session state in database gives me the option to work with web farm?

What kind of information storing do you use instead of session values?

matze,

it always depend, where you need the information (client / server) and whether it needs to be persisted (in the database), wether you store data in database (and cache) or a cookie, pass it as URL parameter or view_state. Have a look at Code Endeavor templates, if you need a lot of client-server interaction.
