Hi,

Would like to check if any of you guys has issues setting up AD for DNN5.1.
Had followed the AD Userguide 01.00.04, which I had used and successfully setup DNN 4.x before.

Problem

1. When the site is first access, it will prompt for the id/pw in the 'gray' pop-up box
2. Upon entering the userid/pw, it will just goes to the DNN Login page.
3. The user seems not authenicated, as the top right still show the Register/Login links

Suspect

1. Windows login is ok, as the gray pop-up box will closed (if wrong windows id/pw, it will prompt again)
2. In DNN 4.x, i noticed that when the user first login via AD, DNN will create an corresponding user record in DNN. But this is not happening for DNN 5.1
3. Hence could it be that the DNN is not creating the user in the DB table, hence the user is not able to login?

Also, I had tried to setup on a 'clean' install, and it also faced the same error.
btw, I have a DNN 4.9 setup in the same environment/AD, and it is working fine.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

It's due to my oversight... :-(

There is a new option in 5.1on  "Do Not Automatically Create Users".
and I blindly selected it. When i uncheck this options, it works :-)

btw, on Windows 2003 server.
